ANR College of Arts and Science was established in the year 2022 located at Vadamavandal near Vembakkam, a place 15 kms from kanchipuram city in a sprawling 10 acre campus by socially conscious eminent personality with a service motive and named the college in honour of A.N.Radhakrishnan ,who was the then chairman of the Institution, offering a three-year Bachelors degree programme. Currently, the college offers Undergraduate Courses in five different disciplines and is planning to introduce PG Courses in future. All courses are of three-year duration and follow a semester pattern in accordance with the guidelines of Thiruvalluvar University. The conduct of semester-end theory and practical examinations, as well as the issuance of degrees, is the prerogative of Thiruvalluvar University.
The undergraduate program is divided into two divisions for academic functions:
Commerce & Management: B. Com., B.Com (CS) and BBA
Arts & Sciences: B.Sc. (CS) and B.Sc (Mathematics)
The College has excellent infrastructure and state of the art equipment in Laboratories. Other facilities like Seminar halls, Libraries, Playfields etc are also available. The college emphasizes on and encourages Sports, NCC and NSS to a great extent. The Skill Development Center is engaged in training the students in social and employable skills, that give a competitive edge to our students and are necessary for Placements and other competitive exams. The college is planning to offer placement services to the students.

Autonomy ought to be optimistically viewed as a new beginning for quality improvement, and challenges ought to be viewed as opportunities, in my opinion. We must make the most of every learning by modifying pedagogy through the use of social media and ICT, blended learning, and hybrid learning.
Building a new generation of homegrown leaders who are ready for the Next Normal, breaking away from the norm and taking on new challenges head-on, and who comprehends our institution's foundations is the need of the hour.

The application for admission must be submitted using the form that is provided in the college office. All applicants must present their mark statement, conduct certificate, and transfer certificate from the previous school they attended. In the event of withdrawals, the student must submit a written request for a transfer certificate, which must be countersigned by the parents and supported by a "no dues certificate" from each department in question.
Ever since the dawn of independence, leaders in our country have been laying stress on the importance of imparting quality education in the country, as good education alone will help people to rise in the various walks of life. Education involves investment of huge amounts running to several crores of rupees. In addition to allocation of funds for education, the Government have to pay attention to poverty alleviation measures. The Government alone may not be able to develop education exclusively in the public sector. Hence the development of educational facilities have also been permitted to be undertaken by Public Charitable Trusts and private organizations also.
Against the above background, Meenakshi Ammal Trust was formed in the year 1983 as a Public Charitable and Educational Trust with its Registered office in Chennai 600 078. The following individuals are the Founders and Hereditary Trustees of the Meenakshi Ammal Trust:
The Trust members do not have any political connections. They are not members of any political party. Further, they do not have any business dealing and they have no profit motive.
The Trust has been started with the sole object of establishing educational institutions. In fact the only aim is to spread knowledge and promote education in all fields, viz Polytechnic, Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Arts and Science, Schools, College of Education, Teacher Training Institute etc. Ever since the establishment of the Trust, the members of the Trust have been functioning with missionary zeal and dedication striving every nerve to spread education to all sections of people, without any discrimination of religion, caste, community, region etc.
The Trust has established several educational institutions, namely Engineering Colleges, Polytechnic College, Industrial Training Institute, Arts and Science College, Matriculation Higher Secondary School, CBSE Schools, College of Education and a Teacher Training Institute. All the above institutions have been established from 1983 – 84 and the list of the institutions and the year of establishment are given below:-
